Gratitude for This Year's Pilgrimages, and Our Steps Toward the Year Ahead
As 2025 enters December, the Jubilee Year — a great milestone — is drawing to a close.
To everyone who joined an Amitai Travel pilgrimage this year, we offer our heartfelt thanks.
Within Japan, it was a great blessing to travel with so many of you, centered on the places connected to the Christian history of Nagasaki and the Gotō Islands.
Journeys of visiting local churches, resting within the flow of time that lingers there, and touching the history and the prayers of those who came before.
To be able to watch over you as you quietly faced your own heart amid the sea, the wind, and the sound of the bells was an unforgettable experience for us as well.
Overseas, we visited Rome, Lourdes, Assisi, and other places. In this special Jubilee Year, we were glad to help guide journeys in which you stood on the lands the saints once walked and, as pilgrims, followed the same path.
In the words and the expressions of those who joined us, it was a year in which we felt anew the encounters and the deepening that pilgrimage brings.
Plans for Next Year, and New Challenges
For 2026, a Gotō pilgrimage tour has already been confirmed for February.
We are grateful to greet this opportunity — a chance to make pilgrimage amid the quiet of the season — together with many inquiries. Documents and guidance will be sent to participants in due course.
Next year, too, while keeping pilgrimage at our heart, we hope to take up "new styles of travel" and "new challenges" with enthusiasm.
Of course, inquiries about journeys other than pilgrimage tours are most welcome as well.
Ideas such as "I wonder if a trip like this is possible?" are also very welcome. Please feel free to contact us first of all.
In Closing
A pilgrimage offers us the chance to step away from daily life and set our hearts in order. And having companions travel alongside makes the journey all the richer.
We are grateful for the journeys we were able to make together with you this year. Please take good care of yourselves and enjoy a peaceful year's end.
May we have the joy of traveling together again on new journeys next year.
We look forward to your continued support of Amitai Travel in the years to come.
